wxPython with Motif

Hello:

I thought that Sun was converting to Gnome?

I had no choice to roll
my sleves and convert it into MOTIF.

I think that it probably woudl have taken less time to build gtk

Yes, they are. I was working on a Solaris 2.8 box that does not have
gnome. Although I could've downloaded gnome from the sun website, there
were some inherited risks by doing it that I did not want to take on a
client's box. Compiling gtk has always been a daunting experience for
me (glib, gtk, libfoo, libfaa, ad nauseum).

It was safer to do it this way, At least I thought that. There might
be reasons to use the motif. For example: footprint might be want of
them, look and feel might be another (God knows why. I do not think that
motif is the most beautiful thing in the world.), consistency with older
applications might be another. You can always come up with a good
reason to convince a suit :).

If I'm bored, I should convert the straight x11 version. ;).

Nice!

Thanks

No apologies needed. If you want to update it for the current CVS and
then send me a patch I'll take a look at encorporating the changes.

Let me get it and review it. It is based on wxPython 2.4, and I had to
hack the python scripts. Silly me I could have use if statements to
verify the version used, it did not ocurred at the time. I'm
downloading lesstiff and wxPython 2.5 at home and see what changes are
needed and get it incorporated into the 2.5 tree.

Luis
