I read in the Editor readme file that a StyledEditor replacement for the
wxEditor and wxPyEditor controls is planned, and wondered if it would not
be easier to use Scintilla for that (see www.scintilla.org
<http://www.scintilla.org>). Scintilla already implements such a control
in a platform independent manner.

A suitable wrapper around Scintilla might do the job.
