This code still behaves in the previous manner (i.e prints two
"s" on the display per keypress). Note that it seems that on
occasion, it only print one "s".
I still get only one "s" with your new code. This is on wxMSW 2.3.2.1 and
wxGTK current CVS.

Oh well, I rebooted my machine (not something you do every day with a
linux machine), and now it works just fine. Go figure. Thanks for
