Yesterday ( Jun 19, 2000 ) I spend all day trying to
install. When I finally got down to this I was
starting to feel pretty good ... had way more problems
than this ( mostly due to personal problem reading
manuals, and following simple instructions <grin> )
I ended up running an ldd against the offending .so
file, and it told me which files were missing. To
find the missing files I issued a 'find /usr | grep
<put-your-file-here>' command, and made sure that the
directory where the 'missing' file was found was in
etc/ld.so.conf
Hope this helps ... if it doesn't I'll try to install
it in ?Suse (6.3) you said? and see if I can't come up
with a better solution.
