Beside having problem creating (empty) wxBitmaps, I've got the problem,
that wxStaticBitmap seems constantly to refresh the image -> the images
flashes, and the X server is getting to 95% CPU usage
聽聽....
聽聽self.bitmap=wxStaticBitmap(self, # parent
聽聽聽聽wxID_BITMAP, # id
聽聽聽聽wxEmptyBitmap(800,600),
聽聽聽聽wxDefaultPosition,
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽wxSize(800,600),
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽0,
聽聽聽聽"staticBitmap")
聽聽....
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽vsizer.Add(self.bitmap, 1,
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽wxGROW>wxALL,10, None)
I'm adding this to a wxFrame derived class, the vsizer (BoxSizer) contains
a StaticText/TextCtrl before the StaticImage.
Any ideas? Should I post the source? (168 lines/5.7KB)

Well, wxEmptyBitmap seems to generate a random image depending upon images
that were shown before. Seems, that the effect just happens in certain
seldom occuring circumstances

All wxEmptyBitmap does is allcate the memory for a bitmap, it does not draw
anything into it or anything, that is up to you. If there is already
something in the memory that is allocated then you will see it if you don't
clear the bitmap yourself.
