Ok, here it goes. The events are working on Win2k, but not on my Win98
installation. Since it works on 2k I have to assume somethings wrong with the
98 installation (emulated in win4lin).
So - never mind.
Thanks anyways

They work fine on a regular Win98 system as well, for what it's worth. Good
luck.

I thought so - since nobody responded to the original posting - therefor
assumedly nobody has problems with that. Since it's fine on the 2k
installation I'll just use that one for testing. Development is done on Linux
anyways.
You don't happen to know a stable XML-RPC server in python ?
I checked out crusader (www.movatis.de) and medusa as well as Zope.
Zope is a little too much overhead and too web-focused, crusader/spellcaster
is buggy in terms of session management and medusa is a framework - so I'd
have to invest a lot of time to set it up to my needs. GNUe looks nice, but
still very alpha and maybe a little off topic - although I might want to
convert my application to a GNUe module later on.
I guess I have to dig into medusa again.

What about twisted python?

That's what I just took a look on. It's allways good to keep an eye on the
announcement lists
Thanks for the suggestion. I wouldn't have known this one if they hadn't
released an announcement for a new version yesterday.
