I have sent earlier messages about my problem to get wxPython to work
with the subject-lines: "make-deb" and "import error". Maybe the
following line in $WXWIN/wxPython/BUILD.txt might be a clue to the
problem:
Change into the $(WXWIN)/utils/wxPython/src directory.
There is no $(WXWIN)/utils directory. That may also be the reason why
make-deb fails. It always fails trying to copy something from the
utils.
Can it be that the structure of the sources changed without the
documentation keeping up?
I also downloaded the rpm-source of 2.1.16 (the binary file's link on
the web site lead to nothing), transformed it into a .tar.gz file and
build it from there, but I still get the import error. BUILD.txt in
this source also refers to a utils directory in the wxWindows source.
Johann.
