At some point there was a nice diagram in the wiki on how sizers work, I thought it was on the UsingSizers page, but there I just see an java attachment which I can't manage to open correctly.
Oddly enough, I see some weird “attachment” paperclip images that appear to be placeholders. Maybe Robin can restore the previous images. The current ones are some kind of tdraw file that requires java…

They were created with image editing capabilities included with the wiki software. See HelpOnDrawings - wxPyWiki
It looks like they should have been updated to the format used by the new tool when the pages were updated to the new version of Moin, but they were not for some reason. It may be that they were too old to be compatible or something like that, but I'll check and see if anything can be done with the old drawing source files. In the meantime here are the images produced for the UsingSizers page.
