If you search for wxPython in the Package Index at python.org

do, of course, take you to the latest 2.8 and 2.9 information and
downloads but the intermediate references to version 2.6.3.2 are a
bit confusing, especially as, I should think, anyone coming in this
way is probably a newcomer. I’m sorry if it sounds like I’m just reporting this and expecting
someone else to do something about it, but I really don’t know how
those pages are maintained or who does it.
