Status of wxPython 4.1?

Hi there!

I know that there was once a build that used the wxWidgets 3.1 branch, but it was put on hold to focus on wxpython 4.0 release which uses wx3.0. I’m interested in the improvements the wx3.1 branch has to offer, specifically better support for HiDPI screens.

Just curious if there is any roadmap / status update on the effort to get wxPython 4.1 into beta status?

Thanks!

I’ve been super busy so things have slowed down quite a bit. Hopefully that will be changing in a bit so we’ll see how it goes. My current plan is to do one more 4.0 release and then turn my attention back to 4.1 again. I’ve been keeping both branches up to date as new changes have been made, so moving 4.1 forward will be a little easier since there won’t be much catching up that needs to be done on the wxPython side, just updates stemming from changes in wxWidgets.

I don’t have any idea of timelines yet, but hopefully knowing about my basic plan will be reassuring
