am new here and also a new person in the world of programming as a whole and will be glad if i can get help from any or all of you in here
to begin with, i wrote a wxPython code in editra but am finding it difficult to run the code as there is no instruction as to HOW in the book am using. can anyone help?

I can't help you with Editra specifically, as I have never used it.
For simple programs, I write them in IDLE and run them through the menus with Run > Run Module.
For more complex programs with multiple modules, I edit them with my favorite text editor, then use the command line, typing "python <program.py>" in the directory where my code resides. (I have python set up in my PATH.)
