Hi,
Is there an easy way to convert RichText to HTML?
I have been looking around could not find any example. I just want to load a Word file and convert it to HTML.
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Frans

In addition to what Kevin mentioned, you can hook into Word using the win32com module of the PyWin32 package by Mark Hammond. Then you could open a Word instance in the background and "Save As" html. There are various examples on the web. If you go this route and run into trouble, there's a very helpful user group for the package, found here: python-win32 Info Page

Do you have Word installed? Word has the ability to save its files in
HTML. The HTML code is incredibly verbose, but the result looks like
the original document.
Are you sure you have a RichText file? Word can save as RTF, but that's
not it's native format. If you really have a native Word file, you will
probably have to get Word involved anyway (or OpenOffice).

Thanks,
I will take a look at the various proposals.
Frans.
