Possible color values

when creating a wx.TextAttr …what are the avaiable colors I can use?

I know: “RED”, “BLACK”, “GREEN”…but is there “DARK GREEN” ??? is there a list somewhere?

thanks.

Hello Craig,

you could take a look at wx.lib.colourdb for a list of available colours. You can also look at them in the demo, under "Miscellaneous" => ColourDB. In any case, if you are familiar with RGB colours, you can create the colour that you want by simply doing:

MyColour = wx.Colour(0, 100, 0) # DARK GREEN

HTH.

I guess Jerry Falwell and Pat Robertson got to the wxWidgets
development team. For those of you not in the United States, please
excuse my sense of humor and subtle outrage at the political climate in
the US.

What’s wrong with the one between “PLUM” and “RED” ?

Understandable

Probably the content filter that was forced on her hides everything near "red".

Those must be "loud" colors, since you have to shout them!

I have gotten very spoiled by Dabo's approach to color. I just write
something like self.BackColor = "green", and that's that. "GREEN",
"Green", "grEEn" all work the same. I could also pass an RGB tuple, or
an HTML-style hex string, and they all just work without me having to
convert anything. They support all the basic color names:

Actually, I think those who are outside the US are better able to
appreciate outrage at the current US government. But that's another,
off-topic thread.
