New member intro

Hi all,

My name is Anggie Bratadinata. I am an Indonesian. Currently I work as an independent web designer/developer and IT consultant.

I've learnt a lot on PHP and Actionscript programming before. Seeing that the world of crossplatform software engineering is shifting towards Python, I can't help diving into it too just like everyone else here.

My country is a poor one. 60 years since the day we declared our independence, we still insignificant to the world of IT due to bad government policies (at least that what I think). King Bill has got us under his feet. Opensource movements can only be found in magazines and newspapers. No real things happen. No government supports. We're on our own.

I and some of my friends are gathered together as a group of developers and consultants focusing our work to providing high quality softwares for local small businesses. Most of our clients earn less than 10,000USD yearly.

I found that the web community is the only choice I have for seeking some supports in the term of knowledge. I feel that I come to the right place here. Hopefully, I will learn a lot of things from you, my seniors.

BTW, I am wondering if there is a toolkit for creating and designing reports like Crystalreports that can be used with Python?

Thanks,

···

Hello Anggie,

For reports try to use:

-Agatha Reports

Please feel free to ask what you want to know.

You could start at:
looking and playing with the demo
  wiki.wxpython.org has useful information
    for example: http://wiki.wxpython.org/index.cgi/Getting_20Started
  search the archives
  use PyCrust to discover things
download DrPython, spe, Pype, Boa, wxGlade ... for developing and
analyze the source (they are all written in wxPython itself).

Cheers,

Thank you very much Franz, I'm now sinking myself into TinyERP source code.
