Hey, I just downloaded the (apparently) latest revision of PyAUI from
here:
http://svn.wxwidgets.org/svn/wx/wxPython/3rdParty/AGW/agw/aui/
I'm noticing some weird things, I'm not sure if it's my code's fault.
So to check, I took the wxPython demo code for PyAUI, and changed it
to import the new SVN version of PyAUI. When I close all the panes,
things get weird: There's no drawing going on in the frame area. Am I
doing something wrong or is there a bug?
Thanks,
Ram,
What demo are you using? I can't close all panes in the agw.AUI demo
due to the center pane.
Andrea just made a large improvement to the rendering code, and I've
noticed a couple of peculiarities myself, so I'm not convinced it's
you
If you can help us reproduce it I'm sure we can find out what's
causing it.

Do you mean the tabs? I close them by middle clicking on them. Try that and tell me if it works.

You can't close all the notebook tabs in the demo, as in the SVN
version of AGW (both demos and source code) one of them is disabled
and can not be closed. You're probably using an old version of the
demo. In any case, even if I remove the disabled tab from the demo
notebook and close all the tabs I still get normal drawing and no
apparent issues.

Can you please try to do what I did on your version of the demo? Middle-click each and every one of the tabs in the center pane. When you’re finished check whether the seemingly active tab is real or just a drawing artifact. (Try to work the text box.)
In any case, even if I remove the disabled tab from the demo

Okay, this means we have a problem, because it happens to me on Windows XP with the current release version and also if I remember correctly on the current SVN version. Can you give it a try on Windows?

That's exactly what I did. And, just to repeat myself, in the SVN
version of the demo you *CAN NOT* close all the tabs, as one of them
is disabled and does not allow you to close it. In any case, once
you're left with the single disabled tab, there seem to be drawing
artifacts for the disabled page, but I am not sure this is related to
your problem or not.
In any case, even if I remove the disabled tab from the demo
notebook and close all the tabs I still get normal drawing and no

I think you want to go here: http://svn.wxwidgets.org/svn/wx/wxPython/3rdParty/AGW/agw/
Check in the aui sub-folder.

I need the demo, not the aui itself.
I think I found it right here:
http://svn.wxwidgets.org/svn/wx/wxPython/trunk/demo/
But I don't see an `AUI.py` file or an `agw` folder!
What do I do? Where is the AUI demo?

time I tried I didn't see any strange thing going on.
