Does wxPython run on a Google Chromebook?

Just curious, does wxPython run on a Google Chromebook?
If so, what version.

Thanks,
Bruce

Well, if WikiPedia is to be trusted:

"""
Google Chrome OS is a Linux-based operating system designed by Google
to work exclusively with web applications.
"""

Anyway, running a regular desktop app is certainly the intended use,
even if you could hack it to allow you to install GTK, etc, and run
stuff.

however, if you find folks have found a way to run regular GTK apps,
then wxPython would probably be fine.

Let us know what you find out --

No. The Chrome O/S only runs applications that are plugins for the
Chrome browser, and that means they have to be written in Javascript.
You can't start an arbitrary process.
