Hi,
I have installed wxPython on Redhat 7.3 without any problems.
I am trying to install wxPython on a stable or testing release of Debian
(woody) and I have been having dependency problems. If I convert to an
unstable release of Debian it works. Does anybody know if it is
possible to use wxPython with either a stable or testing release of
Debian ?
Thanks,
Arend van der Veen
I use wxPython on woody without issues.
I think I built wxPython (next to most recent version) and python2.2
from source.

Another easy way of doing this is to run "alien" on the downloadable
wxPython RPM to convert it to a deb. Works like a charm on all my Woody
boxen.

I am using Debian/testing (via a Knoppix hard disk install), and I could
install wxPython 2.4 via:
apt-get -tunstable install libwxgtk2.4-python
Hope that helps,
Horst
