Assistance with Masters project that uses wxPython

Hello All,

I’m currently seeking assistance with a survey for a Masters that uses wxPython to create a software model. There will be some benefit to the wxPython community since the resultant report will include very positive references to the wxPython project. Please accept my apologies if you consider this incorrect usage of the groups time.

That is correct, Larry. The benefit to the wxPython community would only be visible in the report that will be submitted. Obviously, it is up to the individual to decide if this is “really” of benefit to the wxPython community.

Anyway, thank you for responding to at least the first 4 questions. All feedback is welcome (really)!!

as apparently that's not clear from the survey questions.

Hi Chris,

It does look like the wording of my original email was not clear. The survey does not contain any questions relating to wxPython. However, I asked the wxPython user group if they would like to assist by taking the survey for the following reason: the thesis report, of which the survey is a part, will also contain a number of references to the wxPython project. The potential benefit to the wxPython community is, hopefully, more exposure at the academic level.

I am sure that many will feel this to be a rather tenuous link with wxPython, but it would be great if I could include in my thesis report not only a section on how useful wxPython was for creating a software model, but also how the wxPython community also assisted in the survey.

Actually, there have already been responses from the wxPython community, so to a certain extent I have achieved what I had hoped to achieve. That said, the more responses to the survey the better. Every single one helps!!

I find the questions quite hard to answer. What do you mean with "information system"? I mean almost any system holds some kind of information.

First of all, thanks for taking the time to look at this for me. You are quite correct. Almost any system holds some kind of information. If you can think of a system that contains information you use then it qualifies. Actually, there are some definitions out there for Information Systems, but the simple definition I just provided is sufficient. I hope this helps!

I’m afraid that it is very difficult to design a set of questions that will be universally understood, so thank you again for taking the time to pose this question.
