Dockable toolbars aren't typical for any Mac application, I guess.
Those that I found are developed cross-platform:
- Adobe Illustrator (dockable toolbars, but fixed size; nice palets with tabs)
- other Adobe apps (only one toolbar, but dockable palets with tabs)
-- Adobe InDesign has even "screen edge drawers" (very nice feature!)
-- Acrobat uses the tool bar area like a lot of Windows apps; the tool bars are only dockable within that, otherwise just floating
- Myriad Harmony Assistant (lots of toolbars, direction changeable, content partly configurable, but unfortunately not dockable - that sucks)
All in all, the features of PyAUI seem rather unique!

I'm also wondering which application on Mac uses dockable toolbars and panes? I'd like to see some screenshots. Maybe that could help us to give it a more native Mac look.
