XRCed Attribute panel gone on OSX 10.6

For some reason there is no attribute panel showing on any version of
XRCed I try (latest with python2-7 or older). I seem to be having the
same issue reported previously in this group search for "XRCed
Attribure panel disepeared" (not my spelling). The solution offered
there was to turn of "AUI" (I assume in Preferences?) and restart, but
that has no effect for me---no main window comes up. Please help!

many thanks!

Perhaps it is trying to position the window offscreen. Try removing the xrced files in ~/Library/Preferences so it will use the default settings on the next run.

Yes! Thanks so much Robin. I just recently stopped using a second
monitor
and I must have been displaying xrced on the second screen. The
value for "x" in the xrced Preferences file in Library/Preferences
was huge (> 2700). I made it smaller and voila, the screen
reappeared.
