[wxPython] wxPython and distribution utilities

Has anyone sucessfully created a standalone / freeze of a wxPython app?

Please see either of the links mentioned in the following, which is a copy of an earlier mailing list message (note to Robin: I do apologise for cluttering up the list, but I don’t know how to post links to earlier mailings, and last time I looked for such information at the archive I couldn’t spot it).

Hi All -

I recently created a simple wxPython application template, which includes

scripts for Gordon McMillan’s Installer and Inno Setup to use as a base

for several projects.

I thought it might be of use to others, so I’ve uploaded it to:

Questions or comments are welcome…

Your install will copy only msvcIrt.dll but not msvcrt.dll which can lead to

version conflict.

msvcrt.dll should go in {sys} with version check, reboot, etc.

See py_exe.zip in this list
