Right you are! I needed to do an update, but also it didn't recognize
the name "wx2.6-il8n" even after the update. So instead of typing it,
I copied it into the terminal and then it worked. Maybe I was typing
the wrong letter, but I assumed it was an 'el'.

You probably didn't do an update. I'm not sure what aptitude calls it,
but you need to do tell apt to update its local copies of the package
lists from each repository. Once it has done that then it should be
able to see the packages in wxPython repository.
