Hi Lynndon,
Another Idea ...
Boa does not process windows events while it is executing a program.
As a result, its windows are not refreshed. It may appear that a
window still exists if its background is the Boa Constructor editor, which has
not redrawn.
To test this try minimising boa, or moving it to the side of your screen
before starting the child frame.

This is from my home PC. I just ran the mods you suggested on my win98 pc,
and wxframe2 stays open after the close button is pushed. It closes when
the MS close "X" button (Top RH corner) is pushed, but I get no message at
all from the Boa Output window.There would seem to be a rather large variance in behaviour depending upon
the installation.Regards
