I get this error on Win98 with the latest install package. I installed
the latest IE 5 and the common controls. Haven't figured it out. Weird
part is I recently installed 2.2.1 and it worked fine, then I
uninstalled it, reinstalled an earlier version (I have some tree control
code that won't work with the latest version), then when I re-installed
2.2.1, I got the import problem.
Can't figure out what DLL it can't find.

Did you re-uninstall the earlier version before re-installing 2.2.1?
There were some changes along the way in the 2.1.x sequence that could
cause this sort of problem if you didn't completely uninstall the
older version before installing a new version of wxPython.
