I definitively suggest you try piddle which has a explicit binding to wxPython and very explicit examples and also a very clean and simple design.

I am looking at dislin but have not figured out how to draw the dislin graph on a wxWindow. Does anyone have an example of this?

I have a copy of VTK setup too. I'm not sure how to draw a simple 2D graph with it though. Looks like I might be using a A-Bomb to swat a fly with this one.

I also have the Graphite/Piddle/Numeric setup and will let you know how it goes.

I know about two nice possibilities: 'piddle' which is rather sketchy but
very easy to use and 'dislin'( + pyDislin) which is very complete? Both
have python interfaces.
