Nobody has brought up the ActiveState Awards on this list, so I'm forwarding
my post from the PythonCard-users mailing list. Vote for Robin!

I nominated Robin. Without Robin there would be no wxPython and thus no
PythonCard. Here's what I had to say, of course if you nominate Robin you
should use your own words or at least a variation of the text below. No
ballot stuffing please. And if anyone was thinking of nominating me, I
suggest putting in a Robin vote instead
Robin Dunn
robin@alldunn.com
Robin is the author of wxPython and as such has brought to Python the
ability to build cross-platform (Windows, OS X, Linux) desktop applications,
including standalone EXEs on Windows. Apps built with Python work as well as
ones built laboriously in C++ or Visual Basic or Java, have a native look
and feel and can be built in a fraction of the time of other tools.

Thanks for forwarding this! wxPython has come a long way and there is mostly one man to thank.

Abso-fraggin'-lutely. I have used *dozens* of GUI toolkits from back in my
Amiga days to present and so far wxPython presents the most consistent and
useful toolkit I have ever encountered. Guido should name the next Python
module after Robin
