Hi Mark,
BTW, as of 2.8.7 wxPython includes the wxPython-based Editra in its Docs and Demos package, so we'd definitely appreciate it if you could check that out and see if it works okay for you.
Thanks,
Kevin

This has probably been asked and answered many times, so I apologize.
I like working in the IDLE IDE that comes with Python and it suits my
style and needs, but now that I am developing a major wxPython project,
I have found at least one place in my app where it will not run properly
when launched from IDLE.In the past I have used Eclipse with PyDev and while it has a lot of
features that I like, it has a more overhead than I need at times. Is there a light-weight IDE that is more wxPython friendly than IDLE?
I'm running under Linux.I've noticed that the GEdit text editor (standard on my Ubuntu Dapper)
supports Python syntax highlighting. About the only this else I would
need is automatic indentation support. Are there any "plug-ins" for
GEdit that add more Python support? Thanks,
