But you might want to reconsider Python 2.5, would suggest to use 2.7.x

You would need to install an older version of wxPython, most likely. Such as http://sourceforge.net/projects/wxpython/files/wxPython/2.8.11.0/

If you want to use a newer version of wxPython, you’ll have to build it yourself. Not sure if that’ll work with the latest changes though. However there are build instructions that you can try at the following:
