wxpython 2.4 install on fedora 2

Is there a known problem with installing the wxPython 2.4 binary on Fedora
2?

I am running into problems trying to install wxpython 2.4 on fedora 2 (I
need 2.4 because Boa Constructor doesn't support 2.5 yet) and I noticed that
there was a special binary for wxPython 2.5 for Fedora 2 because of changes
to GTK.

Before I spend a lot of time trying to get the install to work, I would like
to be sure the binary is supposed to work.

Thanks,

I think that there is a 2.4 version in Fedora's YUM repositories, have you tried that? If it doesn't work then I think that you will need the latest CVS from the 2.4 branch because there were some hacks done in the C++ code that are not compatible with the version of GTK that FC2 has.
