wxIEHtmlWin gets stuck. Any ideas?

This can be replicated easily in the demo, but it happens in stand-alone
applications also:

- start the demo
- go the IEHtmlWin demo
- let the wxwindows homepage load
- enter http://shirky.com/writings/rss.cgi into the text window
- load it
- try to go to any other page -- you're stuck!

Ideas, thoughts, all hope is lost, ...?

This is on Windows XP, version 2.4.2.4 running on Python 2.3

Tried your scenario on XP, wxPython 2.4.2.4 and Python 2.3.2. Same
problem, but only when typing or selecting a URL. After using the
'back' button '<--' everything works fine again.

Very interesting -- though if you press the Home button, does it get stuck
again afterwards? I'm going to poke around and see if there's a matching bug
at the OS level...

No, things are OK after Home. It shows my Home page and everything
is else is fine after that. The problem seems to be with just the
Location box. You can't enter or select any other URL when this one
'http://shirky.com/writings/rss.cgi’ is shown.

That same URL does not cause the same problem with the IE nor the
Mozilla browsers. Therefore, I doubt it's an issue there or even
further down in the O/S. It's more likely something at a higher
level.
