Outlook is by employer choice, and I just hate having to dig into it's

I certainly don't mean to start a religious war, but FYI Mozilla
Thunderbird email has a nifty setting to just ignore return-receipt
requests (yet still enable them for specific addresses). I bet Outlook
has a similar setting buried in there somewhere...
If you don't require Outlook's groupware features, Thunderbird a better
choice than Outlook.
