wx Py Wiki Update

"I think it would be great to do a thorough update of the wxPython wiki

– maybe someone could organize a virtual sprint?" CBH

Any stats on site usage over the past two years for https://wiki.wxpython.org/

Suppose the site averages 10 hits per month. Would a thorough update be justified ?

Here are just a few learning sites.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WxPython

https://wxpython.org/

https://www.tutorialspoint.com/wxpython/wxpython_gui_builder_tools.htm

BTW the Cody Precord eBook costs under 5 USD !
Doesn’t this eBook cover similar material ?

Your thoughts ?

Probably. It has the most diverse information on wxPython outside of my own blog

Here are just a few learning sites.

This is not a learning site. It barely has an example on it.

https://wxpython.org/

This is wxPython’s main site, which is nice, but not really for learning either.

https://www.tutorialspoint.com/wxpython/wxpython_gui_builder_tools.htm

This one’s not bad. I would also recommend Zetcode’s wxPython tutorial, although I have heard it’s not available in all countries.

I don’t see this price anywhere. On Amazon $14.59 and up and on Packt’s website, it’s even more

I couldn't believe it but you can download it for free!

This seems like someone took their private collection and uploaded it. I don’t see anything on that site that says they have permission from any of the publishers or authors of the books to reproduce / distribute their books here.

Mike

Ya, yikes

  1. contact is a gmail address.

  2. support link tries to get you to start mining crypto currency for them

Would be little worried about getting infected with something by downloading anything from there.

Yeah, that crossed my mind as well. I tweeted this link to at least 4 publishers to let them know that their books are being pirated.
