Windows native window access

I have recently found the need for a program that manages my workspace(s)
and by 'workspace' I mean a collection of programs I use and their
respective
windows and properties. I am thinking a good way to setup a workspace would

be to open and position the windows you wish, and then enter a 'setup' mode
where you click on each window you want included in your workspace. I am
working in Windows XP and am curious is there a module that will allow me
access to the Windows native window manager, to be able to get the
attributes
of a window: size, position, process?

Thanks in advance for your comments.

P.S. I have recently switched to Outlook; how's my formatting?

I'd think you'd find that in the PyWin32 package:
