Hi Guys,
Following from my previous wxPython-users list message, I suddenly realised what I had said… Without any code added by me whatsoever, my Mountain Lion Mac has an added “Start Dictation” entry in the Edit menu of my Salstat S2 statistics program (http://code.google.com/p/salstat-statistics-package-2)
So, I tried it by connecting a microphone to my iMac. I went to a grid cell, pressed enter to go into insert mode, double tapped “fn”, said “forty eight point six” and pressed and a second or two later 48.6 appeared in the grid cell.
I have also spoken words and had them entered into a cell. Obviously you need to be online so the voice commands can go back / forward to Apple servers, but still…
Amazing!
Has anyone else experimented with this? What has been your experience? If it could be gotten to send and cursor the possibilities would be endless
Cheers,
MarkL
