Unfortunately too much rendering problems appear with 2.9.x (multiline textctrl, combobox, parent dialog when child is modal, missing borders with many windows).
Should rollback to 2.8.x brunch - and (its kind of weird thing) vlistbox works perfectly.
Please create small runnable samples for the problems you see and create tickets for them, with screenshots if appropriate, at trac.wxwidgets.org.
