Who is Robert? Can I contact him? Is there any idea when he might get this fixed or when he knows a workaround? I am asking because till march I can submit bug fixes for Phatch for Ubuntu Hardy. I'd like to have this fixed so people can just drag and drop images from the web on Phatch

One of the core wx developers. He asked some questions about this problem a day or two before your message, so I thought he was looking into fixing it. I don't think I've seen anything else since then though...
