Please read the change log for waf 1.7.11 and 1.8.0: https://code.google.com/p/waf/source/browse/ChangeLog. Since the currently used waf 1.7.10 was released, there were a bunch of improvements made to waf that we could benefit from. Is it possible we bump waf to 1.8.0 yet?
