Tutorial / learning the controls

i am looking for a doc/tutorial which explains all the controls and
how to use them.
what can you suggest?
it just gets pretty tricky searching via google, the wiki and not
really having one place where all can be found. Or did I just not find
it yet?

For me the one I use most is the wxPython demo. It is included in some of the install packages, but you can get it from the wxPython download page too.
