Trying to run wxPython demo: getting: "exec code", "Syntax error: invalid syntax"

wxPython 2.8 is as far as I know not compatible with Python 3.x, you
would need to try Phoenix - currently only available as snap shots.
If you are new to all this you might want to use Python 2.7.x and
wxPython 2.8 or 2.9
