Trying to get source to compile

Someone else suggested that I check the SUSE src RPM. But I guess I don't
know what that is because I went to the SUSE FTP site and did not find
anything I thought would help me. So I guess I don't know what a SRC RPM is.
Maybe you could explain.

All I really want to do is learn Python and wxPython. The only reason I need
wxPython 2.5 is work with dabo (a new framework) and to get the demo to work
(my SUSE 9.1 does not include a demo). It also seems that 2.4 is missing the
'bind' reserve word.

I would take a look at the RPM .spec files for some other python
extension modules that are distributred by SUSE and see what they do to
build and install for the 64-bit version of Python.

Thanks - your god sent. But before I attempt to use any of these src-rpm how do I know they are for the 64bit version. And switch one usee for the install of wxPython.
John

Don't know this.
What kind of 64Bit are you using?
Try (for different 64 bit versions):
ftp://ftp.gwdg.de/pub/linux/suse/ftp.suse.com/suse/

Uwe

Thanks for the link - but what I looking for is the RPM for wxPython 2.5.x.x
for a 64 bit system. wxGlade-24.24 is available at the site.
