transparent drawing

Hi all

It is possible to specify colors with alpha values for transparency. Why are alpha values ignored when drawing circles and the like?

It would be so much more efficient than using transparent png images, for example.

Is there a workaround?

Thanks a lot for your help

Not yet, but some possibilities for more advanced DC drawing has been discussed, and something will probably be done eventually.

Advanced 2D graphics for Python would REALLY be appreciated if anybody wants to take a chance…

It’s one of the FEW things that I miss from Java
