The demo files are not on sourceforge been coming up file not found.
I'm trying to get them (had a hard drive failure and am resetting
everything up).
Specifically

If someone could email that file I would appreciate it.
Please don't email the whole list it, but if you could post to the list
that I sent it I would also appreciate that.
I have the rest of my environment setup but I really miss those demo
files.

Do you really need a version that is that old? There have been many releases since 2.2.5.
Anyway, you probably just need to choose a different SF mirror. For example, this one works fine:
http://unc.dl.sourceforge.net/sourceforge/wxpython/wxPython-demo-2.2.5.tar.gz
For files that are no longer listed at the main SF files page, just start at http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/wxpython/ and choose the file you want and then choose a mirror.
