SuSe 9.0 && wxPython

Hi,
maybe (or surely) this is asked before, but I couldn't find it in the list:

Does any of the actual wxPython - rpm's work with SuSe Linux 9.0?

I installed the RedHat rpm's, whith no error messages during install but I was not able to do "import wx".

Thanks

Chris

The company I work for was unable to get them to work properly (though we didn't try to hard). We ended up installing 2.4.x from source.

yes, I also installed from source on Suse

I thought that somebody told me that the rh9 RPMs work okay with SuSE 9.0 and that it wasn't until SuSE 9.2 that there were enough incompatibilities to cause problems. What error do you get when importing wx?

We are using SuSE 9.1 and are using the wxPython RPM's of RedHat, and they
work OK for us.

I thought that somebody told me that the rh9 RPMs work okay with SuSE
9.0 and that it wasn't until SuSE 9.2 that there were enough
incompatibilities to cause problems. What error do you get when
importing wx?

Do you know by any chance why the RPM's of SuSE are broken?
