STC on Mac?

After looking at the Scintilla web page, I'm guessing
that wxSTC won't run on Mac. Is there any likelihood
of Mac-compatibility in the future?

John

Transana uses wxSTC, and as far as I know that's NOT one of the controls
that's having trouble on the Mac. However, I can't say that definitively as
the toolbar that allows you to go into editing mode doesn't show up
correctly in the Mac version so I haven't actually edited with it yet, but
at this point I *think* it will work. It's at least worth giving it a try.

wxSTC is usable as of wxPython 2.5.1.x on Mac OS X. Previous versions were very slow due to anti-aliasing issues with the text, but now that is turned off by default and it is quite usable. Once 2.5.1.x is out for general release (soon) then you'll be set.

Scintilla doesn't run on the Mac, but wxSTC does. Instead of relying on the platofrm ports that Scintilla provides wxWidgets is used as the Scinitlla "platform" for wxSTC, so it runs everywhere (more or less) wxWidgets does.

Wow...impressive...thanks!
