Hi Tim,
Jean-Michel was mistaken. The function he describes simply converts screen coordinates to the coordinates relative to a window; not very useful in this case.
Yes. And why did he write this crap?
It makes absolutely no sense, but some thing like
"hey teacher, I recognized a word". Blah. What a tad.
The Windows API that performs the function you describe is SetCursorPos. In X, the process is called "warping" the cursor. I honestly do not know if it is supported in either wxWindows/wxWidgets or wxPython; I couldn't find it in my search of the documentation.
It is. Fortunately I got more sensible input.
I do know the Winnows API very well. What I need to grasp
is the way wxWindows does this.
You need to work on being less sensitive. Everyone here is trying to help. Some people offer suggestions with misguided information, but it is extremely unlikely that anyone on this list would intentionally try to make fun of you, at least not until we know you a lot better.
I don't know how to deal with this message.
What's your point?
You *can* educate me, but only after you showed me your offer.
Didn't see anything like that, so far.
What I'd like to see is a response on my example code.
*That* would really make me interested.
But this list is recreant, obviously.
(ducking and covering, again)
