sequencer

hi,
i am looking for an existing solution to make sequencer interface .
one way could be to create grid of checkboxes, which i dont find very
neat, perhaps there is already better way ?

I don't know what you mean by "sequencer interface." What would you like it to be? What should it look like? How should it behave?

by sequencer i mean grid of checkable boxes organised in collumns as in
attached example (dunno if attachments are allowed here, if not :
http://ice.mur.at/testing/sequencer.py)
its just an example how the interface should look like, there should be
internal mechanism traversing through collumns of CheckBoxes and
switching something on/off depends if boxes are chesked or not.
like some audio sequencers : you click to put on notes in table, and then
play them ... you know hydrogen ?
