seg fault in wx py shells

I seem to having a problem with any app that uses any sort of wxPython
shell. If I forget that tab completions works off of arrows and try to
mouse click instead, the app, be it Boa, SPE or just pyCrust, segfaults and dies. Is this a bug or should I change my distribution?

Distro: Debian unstable
Kernel: 2.4.22-1-k7 #5 Sat Oct 4 14:11:12 EST 2003 i686 GNU/Linux
wxPython 2.4.12

Has anybody else seen this problem? (I havn't.)
