I wonder if this is true! It is a very nice tool in the
wxpython toolbox and well worth the effort.
Well, I liked a lot how wxAUI was behaving with wxWidgets, so I simply translated it to wxPython . There are other libraries to do docking/floating things in wxWidgets (namely wxFL, wxIFM, wxDockIt and probably something else), but none of them is so close to native floating/docking as wxAUI is (not to mention usability, code elegance and features). In any case, PyAUI is not part of the official wxPython distribution: I don't think Robin has had (or will have) time to test all the (more or less useful) widgets that some of us have translated/created, so I don't think it will never be part of wxPython

That sounds great, Andrea. Hope everything is going great for
you in London!
Oh yes, no great spaghetti here, but I can cook them by myself
Andrea.

Well, you know, the wxPython Add-ons section of the wxCommunity site does need some entries...
http://www.wxcommunity.com/modules.php?op=modload&name=Downloads&file=index&req=viewdownload&cid=2
I plan on, at some point, asking Robin if it would be okay to make it a link to this site in the demo, so that it's easier for wxPython users to find components. It'd be nice, also, to have a wx.components module, so that all these components have a standard place to install themselves into, IMHO.
Thanks,
Kevin

PyAUI I would like to see the new release of wxAUI (if it will ever
