I hope Rob responds, but if he's not on this list, I think he hasn't had much time to work on Peppy lately, and he think he left off just before he felt it was ready for him to use as his own primary editor (eating your own dog food). However, he also indicated he'd been talking to Stani, so maybe we'll get the best of both worlds with the next generation SPE. Stani? your thoughts?

Hi Christopher,
I have been away for a month because of travelling and I am afraid I can not give more news. Rob and I have indeed been exchanging emails, as I am interested to base the wx.aui version of SPE on his work. I didn't want to start this version before Feisty, as wxPython2.8 was not the default wxPython on major Linux distributions yet. I preferred to have for now the latest version of SPE to be compatible with wxPython2.6 and run it really stable on Ubuntu. There were enough bug fixes to do and some new features in the pipeline.
Anyway, I hope Rob continues his work on Peppy.
