Of course for every given acronym (dominated by the TLA variety), there
are several definitions. The prime exemplar being 'COM'.

That's the danger of using a non-universal acronym. In my experience in
the computer industry, "NG" usually stands for "No Good", and often has
the letter "F" inserted in the middle...
